Maternal Child Health Program

We provide home visits during prenatal and postpartum periods and to families with newborns. During visits, we provide nurse evaluation and education to promote a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby.

Services

The program:

  • Monitors the pregnancy, provides prenatal education, and offers advice for relief of common complaints of pregnancy.
  • Provides newborn health assessments, monitors growth and development, and provides infant care education.
  • Provides bereavement support to families with a fetal or infant death.
  • Offers lactation support and resources through Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLC) or other staff trained in breastfeeding.
  • Facilitates connection to community resources, such as WIC, Healthy Families, and childbirth classes.
