Are you expecting your first baby and want to learn more about... When to call the doctor's office, what to expect at the hospital with labor and delivery, getting breastfeeding off to a good start, the importance of infant immunizations, how to sooth a crying baby, how dads and support people can make a difference, and Dads of Madison County?

Join our nurses and educators for this fun day designed to help expectant first-time families get ready for baby's arrival! Lunch is provided. Gift bags and door prizes!

Call 315-366-2848 to register. Space is limited to 15 families. Priority is given to Madison County residents.


The program:

  • Monitors the pregnancy and provides prenatal education.
  • Provides health assessment of newborn, newborn teaching and well child care.
  • Bereavement visits to families suffering a fetal, infant or child death.
  • Education and information available on maternal and child health issues, including Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) risk reduction and Shaken Baby Syndrome.
  • Has certified International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) on-staff to provide breastfeeding support and resources to clients.
