Madison County Hazard Mitigation Plan

Welcome to the Madison County Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan Homepage.

Madison County and many of its residences, businesses and infrastructure have suffered greatly over the past few years due to naturally occurring disasters, including floods, tornado, high winds and severe winter storms.

Creation

Madison County and each of its local jurisdictions have joined together to create this hazard mitigation plan. Once completed this plan will offer a significant opportunity to reduce the effects, damages and losses associated with natural disasters.

Commitment

Madison County is committed to reducing the risks associated with natural disasters and limiting the hardships created by these events. As sections of this plan update become available in draft form they will be published to the Emergency Management website for public review and comment.
