FOAM POLYSTYRENE

Accepted ONLY at the Buyea Road Residential Station:
White packaging foam (EPS #6)

Not Accepted:
Peanuts, Soiled Containers, Take-out containers, Cups, Colored Materials and anything other than EPS #6

PLASTIC CONTAINERS

Accepted:
Plastic Bottles and Jugs (Deposit Bottles, Milk and Water Jugs, Soap and Detergent Bottles) and plastic dairy cups and tubs
Materials must be empty, clean & dry.

Not Accepted:
Plastic Clamshell Containers, Plastic Take-Out Containers, Black Plastic, Plastic Bags and Other Films, Plastic Cups and Lids, Plastic Buckets, Plastic Toys, Pails, Plastic Bottles Containing Hazardous Products and any other plastics.

PAPER

Accepted:
Newspaper, Inserts, Junk Mail, Envelopes, Magazines, Catalogs, Cereal and Food Boxes, Telephone Books, etc.
Materials must be empty, clean & dry.

Not Accepted:
Carbon or Wax Paper, Tissue Paper, Soiled or Wet Paper, Frozen Food, Microwave or Beverage Boxes and anything containing Foil, Plastic or Metal

METAL CONTAINERS

Accepted:
Food and Beverage Containers, Deposit Cans, Aluminum Foil, Plated Trays, Empty Aerosol Cans
Materials must be empty, clean & dry. 

Not Accepted:
Containers full of the product.

Scrap metals such as pots, pans, hangers, bikes, etc. can be dropped off at any of our transfer stations for metal collection.

BATTERIES

Accepted at any of our Transfer Stations:
AA, AAA, C and D Cell, 9-Volt, all Button Batteries and Auto

Not Accepted:
Commercial Use Batteries

GLASS CONTAINERS

Accepted:
Food, Beverage and Deposit Bottles
Materials must be empty, clean & dry.

Not Accepted:
Window or Auto Glass, Light Bulbs, Ceramic, Crystal and Mirrors

INK CARTRIDGES

Accepted at any of our transfer stations:
All Ink-Jet Cartridges

Not Accepted:
Toner or Laser Cartridges

YARD WASTE

Accepted:
Grass Clippings, Leaves, Weeds, Wood Chips, Brush and Branches (up to 6 inches in diameter and no longer than 10 feet in length).  Please, no contaminated product

FREE Wood Chips and Compost, when available, are Free to Madison County Residents.  NOT for Commercial Businesses.

MERCURY

Mercury Thermostats are accepted only at the Buyea Road Residential Station. All other mercury products (mercury thermometers and liquid mercury) are household hazardous waste.
