FOAM POLYSTYRENE

Accepted:
White packaging foam (EPS #6).  Clean, White cups, Take-out Containers, Egg Cartons

Not Accepted:
Peanuts, Soiled Containers, Colored Materials and anything other than EPS #6

PLASTIC

Accepted:
Deposit Bottles, Milk and Water Jugs, Soap and Detergent Bottles and any Plastic Bottles or Stack-able Containers with the #'s 1-7 symbol

Not Accepted:
Plastic Toys, Pails, Bottles containing Hazardous Products and anything containing another recycling symbol

PAPER

Accepted:
Newspaper, Inserts, Junk Mail, Envelopes, Magazines, Catalogs, Cereal and Food Boxes, Telephone Books, etc.

Not Accepted:
Carbon or Wax Paper, Tissue Paper, Soiled or Wet Paper, Frozen Food, Microwave or Beverage Boxes and anything containing Foil, Plastic or Metal

Metal

Accepted:
Food and Beverage Containers, Deposit Cans, Aluminum Foul, Plated Trays, Pots and Pans, Empty Aerosol Cans

Not Accepted:
Containers full of the product

BATTERIES

Accepted:
AA, AAA, C and D Cell, 9-Volt, all Button Batteries and Auto

Not Accepted:
Commercial Use Batteries

GLASS

Accepted:
Food, Beverage and Deposit Bottles

Not Accepted:
Window or Auto Glass, Light Bulbs, Ceramic, Crystal and Mirrors

INK CARTRIDGES

Accepted:
All Ink-Jet Cartridges

Not Accepted:
Toner or Laser Cartridges

YARD WASTE

Accepted:
Grass Clippings, Leaves, Weeds, Wood Chips, Brush and Branches (up to 6" in diameter and no longer than 10" in length).  Please, no contaminated  product

FREE Wood Chips and Compost, when available, are Free to Madison County Residents.  NOT for Commercial Businesses.

MERCURY

Mercury is accepted at all the Transfer Station locations in Madison County
