Goals of the Child Advocacy Center: -Reduce the number of multiple interviews of a child regarding allegations of abuse
-Reduce the trauma to children associated with the investigation and prosecution of child abuse cases
-Improve the quality of the evidence and information gathered
-Expedite the investigative, protective, and prosecutorial process
-Expedite the process of enrolling victims, their families, and perpetrators in necessary services including mental health, medical providers, and other agencies and services as needed
-Increase the number of successful prosecutions of these cases

-Child sexual abuse
-Child physical injury
-Internet sex crimes
-Child sex exploitation
-Torture/inhumane treatment of a child
-Child abduction
-Sex offender residing in the home with children
