CPR/AED- Original
This class has both lecture and hands on components to help learn the valuable skills of Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) along with how to properly use an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED). This course is made for those who are new to CPR certification and focuses on building your confidence in recognition an emergency situation pairing with vital hands on skill building. Hands-on training for both adult and pediatric patients allows for versatility in emergency preparedness. This course also covers choking emergencies for both adult and pediatrics. At the end of completing the course, you will obtain an E-Card through the American Heart Association certified for 2 years. You will have to recertify by the month of the expiration date listed on your card in order to maintain an up to date certification.
MINIMUM OF 8 INDIVIDUALS AND A MAXIMUM OF 20 PARTICIPANTS ARE NEEDED TO HOST A PRIVATE CLASS. IF YOU ARE LOOKING TO HAVE A SMALLER OR LARGER GROUP, PLEASE CONTACT THE EMS EDUCATOR FOR FURTHER ASSISTANCE.
Courses last approx. 2-2.5 hours
Cost of the class is $20/per participant. Cash or Checks are accepted. Invoices can be sent for private courses which are training employees/staff/faculty. Courses which are open to the public that you may be hosting each individual must pay upfront the day of class. Checks must be made out to Madison County.
CPR/AED- Refresher
This class has both lecture and hands on components to help learn the valuable skills of Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) along with how to properly use an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED). This course is made for those who have held a CPR certification previously, we will refresh on
recognition an emergency situation pairing with refreshing hands on skill building. Hands-on training with CPR, AED, and choking for both adult and pediatric individuals will be refreshed and evaluated. At the end of completing the course, you will obtain an E-Card through the American Heart Association certified for 2 years. Stop the Bleed Certification
This class prepares participants for emergency medical situations where quick bleeding control can make a difference in life or death. This course will demonstrate how to properly and effectively control severe bleeding when an incident occurs. Lectures include the importance of bleeding control, and hands on didactic allows the student to perfect the necessary skills. Stop The Bleed kits will be shown, along with where to purchase these kits. There will be graphic images and potentially disturbing scenarios. Please keep that in mind before attending the class.
