- Lead Poisoning Prevention
We provide education and information on how to reduce lead levels, working with residents, the community, healthcare providers, day cares, and schools.
Lead screening is available for uninsured and underinsured children up to six years of age, along with nursing and environmental home visits for children with elevated blood lead levels.
We evaluate and provide education on lead hazards in homes and provide guidance to fix or mitigate a lead problem in your home.
We coordinate our activities with other department divisions to help individuals and families reduce their lead exposure.
