The Madison County Health Department and Cornell Cooperative Extension of Madison County are proud to present informational sessions on “Protecting your family from Lyme Disease in your yard”.
Lyme and other tickborne diseases continue to be of concern to Madison County citizens and this presentation will address why ticks are in your yard, how you can better manage your property to make it less attractive to ticks, and how to protect your family from ticks. All participants will receive a free tick removal kit at the end of the presentation.
Join us at the Great Swamp Conservancy on September 28, the Hamilton Public Library on October 4, or the Cazenovia Public Library on October 9. All meetings will be held from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m and light refreshments will be provided. This presentation is free and open to the public.
We ask that you RSVP at https://reg.cce.cornell.edu/LymeDisease_225 at least two days before the program you wish to attend so that we will have adequate handouts and refreshments.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact Sarah Ficken at sjs299@cornell.edu or 315-684-3001 or Jennifer McGohan at 315-366-2361.
