Zoom Seminar 10:30am - October 19, 2020: Imelda
Wong, PhD and Paul Schulte, PhD presenting “COVID-19 and fatigue: Implications for the workplace”
The declaration in the U.S. of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) as a public health emergency immediately changed the way we work and live, and intensified feelings of stress and uncertainty about the future. Some organizations have implemented longer work hours or overnight shifts to accommodate new working conditions. These nonstandard work schedules, combined with stress, can impair sleep and increase the risk for fatigue, impacting worker health and safety.
This presentation will include a brief overview of COVID-19, summarize current literature and provide suggestions on how to mitigate fatigue during these times.
