The contractor is nearly finished with restoration work. They expect to be all set with restoration by the end of this week. The contractor expects to be installing the remaining services next week. B&L will be formulating a “Punch List” for the project within the next few days, so residents are encouraged to call 315-457-5200 with any concerns or things that need to be fixed.
The contractor has installed 68 water services to date. All water main has been pressure tested up to NYS Route 5 and the contractor is currently awaiting water sample results from several sections of the installed mains. The engineering firm is in the process of preparing water main certifications to send to the Madison County Health Department. The Health Department will approve the water main after reviewing the certifications. Residents should note that they cannot connect to the public water until notified to do so by the County.
The contractor has completed water main installation along Nelson Place East and Nelson Place West. The contractor is continuing with installation along Nelson Road, and anticipates that all water main installation will be complete in the next couple weeks. Sections of water main along Nelson Road up to the intersection with Knolls Ave, including water main on Knolls Ave East, West, and North, have been pressure tested and passed. The section of water main along Cottons Road has been chlorinated and the contractor is awaiting lab results from chlorine testing. The contractor has begun installing water services along Timmerman Road and anticipates to continue with service installation in the coming weeks.
The contractor has installed water main along Nelson Road up to Knolls Ave and has also completed installation of water main along Knolls Ave West. The section of water main installed on Old County Road West passed pressure testing and will be chlorinated in the near future.
