[ARCHIVED] Styrofoam Recycling Temporarily Closed

Styrofoam Recycling Closed Temporarily

Our styrofoam densifier -- which normally turns bulky packaging foam into compact blocks that will be recycled into new items such as molding -- is currently out of order and we are working to get it repaired. Due to lack of storage space and an undetermined timeline of when the machine will be fixed, we have closed the styrofoam collection container at the Buyea Road Residential Station until further notice.
Please hang onto your bulky, white packaging foam until we get this resolved. Or, place it in your garbage (or use a punch card at our transfer stations) to get rid of it in the trash in the meantime. Thank you for understanding and we will let you know when the densifier is up and running again!
