Join us for a Child Safety Event with a Bike Rodeo, Child Safety Seat Check, and Safe Child ID in Morrisville on Thursday, June 2, 2022 from 4:00-6:30 pm at the Morrisville Fire Department, 50 E. Main St.
The Madison County Sheriff’s Office will have a skills course for youth up to age 14 and will perform safety checks on bicycles. Please bring your bike and your helmet (if you have one). Please register by June 1 by texting or calling Sgt. Krystyna Feola at 315-766-7356 or emailing at Krystyna.feola@madisoncounty.ny.gov. Please provide the number of children who will be attending and their ages.
The Sheriff’s Office will also provide Safe Child IDs. Parents and guardians can get their child’s photo and fingerprints taken to create an ID that will quickly provide important details to law enforcement in the event they receive a missing child report.
There will also be a Child Safety Seat Check. Trained staff will check your car seat for a proper fit and will teach you how to make sure your child is riding safely. Please be sure to install your car seat prior to the check and bring the child with you if possible. No appointment is needed. If you have questions, please call the Health Department at 315-366-2848.
This event is sponsored by the Madison County Health Department, Madison County Sheriff’s Office, and New York State Police in cooperation with University Police at SUNY Morrisville and the Morrisville Children’s Center.
