The Madison County Sheriff's Office would like to recognize Deputy Frank McCully for his quick response and actions during a life threatening situation. On February 16, 2018, Deputy McCully responded to a reported overdose at the Walmart parking lot in Oneida.

Upon arrival, Deputy McCully observed a male on the ground, unconscious and not breathing. The male had been removed from a parked vehicle and placed on the ground to begin life saving measures. Deputy McCully quickly identified that the medical situation involved the use of narcotics and administered one vial of Narcan to the victim. Vineall Ambulance arrived on scene moments after and the crew was able to successfully revive the victim in the ambulance.

Due to the quick thinking and appropriate actions taken by Deputy McCully, Vineall Ambulance, Oneida Police and Oneida Fire, the victim was successfully revived and transported to Oneida Hospital for further evaluation.
