ARE Park Open House - Saturday, August 5 @ 10AM

Dear Resident,

In recent weeks, there has been a lot of talk about the proposed introduction of a renewable energy facility at the Agriculture & Renewable Energy Park (ARE Park). Much of what has been circulated is simply not true.  We are writing to help dispel this misleading information by inviting you to a public open house where we will be sharing information about the ARE Park and our renewable energy systems.

For more than 40 years, we have managed Madison County’s landfill to impeccable standards, and have introduced only projects and technologies that meet our rigid standards for environmental safety.

Madison County is recognized as a leader in solid waste management and renewable energy.  We are extremely proud of our work, and want you to be informed about our solid waste management facilities and future plans at the ARE Park.

Please take the time to review the enclosed material, and if you are interested in learning more about our work and commitment to delivering high quality solid waste management to Madison County, please join us for a public open house event to be held Saturday, August 5 from 10 am to Noon at the Madison County landfill (6663 Buyea Road, Canastota).

During this event, you will have the opportunity to discover more about the work we are doing as environmental stewards for Madison County.  You will also have a chance to tour the landfill site and see first-hand the innovative technologies we have introduced at the ARE Park.

I hope to see you on August 5.

Sincerely,
Jim Goldstein
Chair, Madison County Solid Waste Committee
