Sheriff Allen Riley

Sheriff Allen Riley is a life long resident of Madison County. He has 28 years of law enforcement experience; He comes to the position after completing a career with the New York State Police.Sheriff Riley was sworn into office on January 1, 2010.

Undersheriff John BallThe Undersheriff is second in command of the Office of the Madison County Sheriff, reporting directly to the Sheriff.  He oversees day-to-day operations of jail, civil, and criminal divisions.

Project Lifesaver

Sheriff Allen Riley is pleased to announce the implementation of a new program called Project Lifesaver. Project Lifesaver is a search and rescue, rapid recovery program that targets persons enrolled in the program that have the tendency to wander due to Alzheimer's, Autism, Dementia and other age macular degeneration (ARMD) related conditions or disorders. Donate Used Cell Phones

The Madison County Sheriff's Office is working with victims of violence agencies to help provide victims with a source of emergency 911 communications.  Please consider donating your old, used and unwanted cell phones and chargers to those who are in desperate need of your help. Cell phones can either be mailed or dropped of at:
