J. Sam Rodgers has worked in the Madison County District Attorney’s Office since 2020 and was promoted to Chief Assistant District Attorney in 2025. Sam currently prosecutes all crimes against children and Article 130 cases for the office and has experience prosecuting various categories of other felony and misdemeanor cases. Sam also works as the in-house appellate lawyer and has made arguments before the Appellate Division, Third Department, and the New York Court of Appeals. As Chief ADA, Sam represents the office at multiple government meetings and supports the District Attorney and Office Manager with all office administration.
Sam graduated from Cornell Law School in 2019 and earned his Bachelor of Science and Master’s in Public Administration degrees from Syracuse University in 2015 and 2020.
