Paul Clapper has worked as a private investigator for the Madison County District Attorney’s office since 2014. Paul oversees the Crimes Against Revenue Program to combat fraud, financial crimes, and other wrongdoings against New York State and Madison County. In addition, Paul assists the office in the collection of criminal evidence, witness interviews, and coordinates law enforcement participation in grand jury presentations, hearings, and jury trials. Paul began his career in law enforcement as a Syracuse Police Officer and Investigator in 1972 and has spent many years investigating for other law enforcement agencies and insurance companies.
