The Youth Bureau administers Youth Development Program Funds and Runaway and Homeless Youth Act funds made available by the New York State Office of Children and Family Services.

Determining the effectiveness of contracted services through monitoring and evaluation is a key responsibility of the Youth Bureau.

Securing broad community support for a better quality of life for our children and youth is of vital importance.

A major goal of the Youth Bureau is to help plan and coordinate services to meet the needs of children and youth in Madison County.

The bureau also works to promote organizational and community changes that reflect positive youth development principles and practices.

Youth Civic Engagement & Youth Voice
The Youth Bureau works to increase Youth Voice by helping youth build their skills in civic engagement and by facilitating their participation in political and community activities.
