NEVER place mercury-containing items in your curbside recycling or garbage bins!

ONLY mercury thermostats are accepted at the Buyea Road Residential Station. Please see attendant for proper disposal.

The following items are not accepted in our mercury thermostat program:

• Liquid Mercury
• Non-Mercury Thermostats
• Mercury Thermometers
• Non-Mercury Thermometers
• Any other items containing mercury

Other mercury-containing items such as thermometers are household hazardous waste (HHW) and should go through our HHW program. Appointment required.
