The following are specific groups currently being offered through the outpatient clinic and their current status relative to new referrals. These specific groups are offered in addition to always-available individual, couples, and family therapy.
Adult (DBT) Dialectical Behavioral Therapy Skills Group
This group is 24 weeks long. It is broken down into 4 modules. Each module is 6 weeks. It is a supportive skills training group for adults with difficulties identifying and dealing with their emotions, coping with stress, and interpersonal situations. This group is appropriate for clients in on-going individual therapy who experience frequent hospitalizations, interpersonal chaos, self-injurious and/or self-defeating behaviors. This group is held on Tuesday afternoons when referrals allow.
Partner Violence Intervention Group
This program is designed for men and women who have been violent, or who are at risk for, becoming violent with a person to whom they are married or intimately involved. Ongoing family safety is the primary concern with every client enrolled in this program. The focus of this program is strictly the prevention of physically, sexually and psychologically violent behaviors. Currently this program is being provided individually due to COVID-19.
Adult Anger Management Group
Designed to help those who have problems with aggression to reduce self-defeating behavior and achieve their goals in a healthier way. This group is 12-weeks long and is offered when referrals allow. Currently this group is not running.
