Suicide and Depression Awareness for Students is an expert-driven guide to understanding and preventing suicide among students. Suicide is the second-leading cause of death for people between the ages of 15 and 24. The guidebook was created to help students better understand suicide and depression, how to recognize warning signs in themselves or their peers, and what they can do to intervene.
NYS Office of Children and Family Services Division of Youth Development and Partnerships for Success has shared the report entitledVoices of LGBTQ+ Youth in the NYS Foster System. The New York State Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) is proud to serve and support the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender/gender non-binary, queer and questioning (LGBTQ+) communities of New York. It is critical that the services and programs provided and/or overseen by OCFS be informed by the expertise of young people who have experienced those systems.
