Cooling benefits are available to eligible households to establish a cooling room with an air conditioner or fan. These benefits are available to HEAP eligible households containing at least one individual with a documented medical condition that is exacerbated by extreme heat and verified in writing by a physician, physician assistant, or nurse practitioner.
